Investigates RTA smart services user experience effectiveness in order to enhance smart services capabilities that add value and reduce cost to RTA customers and businesses.
Derives business processes, analyses user needs, assists in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.
User experience guidance, concept and review for product/project/customer improvements for the entire lifecycle to ensure the best User experience for RTA customers.
Responsible for UX of all RTA Smart Services, UX strategy and Design Principles, Coordinating on UX Research, Ideation, Service and Experience Design, Concept and Visual Design, Wireframe and Prototyping, Information Architecture, Interaction Design and Usability.
Analyses and recommends user experience improvements and oversees incorporating user experience measures into the design of smart services and channels to meet required levels of services
Investigates user experience issues and initiates actions to improve smart services adoption
Works collaboratively within an agile team made up of application architects, developers, and fellow UX experts to deliver world-class smart services experiences through iterative releases
Evaluates success criteria and prioritize user experience improvement that balances short-term and longer-term benefits
Builds and oversee the daily work of a small team of interaction and visual designers, content and research specialists
Utilizes qualitative and quantitative data from user research, user activity & feedback, and business analysis to drive demonstrable improvements to design solutions
Presents design methods, explorations, and trade-off rationale along with a recommendation to management
Evaluates competitive and innovative services and design approaches to identify best practices and encourage innovation
Holds brainstorming and cross-product team collaboration sessions
Provides significant contribution to suppliers' selection, RfP tendering, and procurement of systems.
Oversees and reports the fulfilment of user experience suppliers' contractual obligations
Complies with RTA technology governance standards, policies, and procedures
Perform other responsibilities associated with the position as appropriate.
Skills
Master's degree in Information Technology, Graphic Design, or Computer Engineering from a recognized university.
10 years of working experience.
Experience in Responsive Designs techniques and mechanisms such as creating modular designs, prototyping & rapid prototyping, and Photoshop PSDs.
Experience in information and data analyses on issues impacting the progress of organizational and process issues.
Knowledge on latest developments of user experience improvement practices
Awareness of international best practices for user experience design
Ability to manage producing effective smart services interfaces, taxonomies and metadata frameworks, and interface designs
Excellent project management skills to develop and direct project managers
Ability to initiate and direct smart services projects in support of strategic and operational goals.
Knowledge on latest developments and trends in the area of smart government, smart services, and smart channels
Knowledge on latest collaboration techniques between Government Departments to develop smart services for customers
Participate in local and international conferences/seminars and represent the smart government initiatives and achievements in RTA.
Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, scrutinizing, improving, and streamlining complex work processes.
